Project Background – Why a Shipyard Needed a Modular Workstation Solution

In a large shipbuilding facility with thousands of tools and components are handled by workers daily, the efficient use and organzation of space and items are very important. However, the traditional storage method of placing cabinets, workbenches and storage racks made purchasing and material management more difficient. The management wanted a simple and systematic sotrage and workstation solution that could help workers find tools faster, keep the area clean, and improvide daily workflow. As a part of the leadership inspection, they also want to set up a model workshop to serve as a benchmark for all other shipyards in the corporation.

ROCKBEN has been a long-term supplier to this large industrial group. Because the workers liked using our products in previous projects, the management decided to choose ROCKBEN again for this upgrade. They ordered more than 20 sets of industrial workstations to improvide the shipyard workshops.

Each workstation was designed with drawers rated for 100 kg each, providing strong and reliable storage for heavy tools. The worktops were made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and the cabinet body was finished with durable powder coating, protecting the units from oil and moisture from the shipyard environment. The modular structure allows easy expansion and reconfiguration, so the layout can be adjusted when the workshop needs change. This setup offers both high strength and flexibility, supporting daily tool storage and workspace use for all production teams.
